Absolutely beautiful. I don't know if it's a combination of lack of vegetation, buildings, wildlife, or something else, but my FPS goes up by about twenty frames on this map, even on full view distance. Great map, again.

Idk why it isn't appearing on some people's editor maplist. I just copied the three main pbo files straight into my Expansions/Addons folder (didnt bother with a mod folder this time), and it appears. At first I got a minor missing textures error, but all you need is also add this 4th pbo into Expansions/Addons and it's fine:-

It looks really lovely when flying over it with the graphics option set to at least a 5000m view range. Even at the max 10000m the framerate is good, due to not having any masses of trees/grass to render. Had great fun barnstorming the Ka60 through the narrow valleys and ravines - solid rock barely 1m either side of my rotors!
The description says it's only a small scale map too - it's 20x20km - four times the area of all the standard 10x10kms maps, and 16 times the size of all the farty little 5x5kms! It's not small!

Yes, it’s working in Arma 3, but the sky texture from Arma 2 Takistan is missing. They give extra nice mountain skylines at the horizon. And the atmosphere and light settings are Mediterranean – too bright.

To get around this use the following Addon: @GDSN_IslandLightingFixes
For beautiful clouds in between the mountains use the Arma 2 cloud module (get it as an “Addon” with these three pbo’s: (from Arma 2): modules.pbo, modules.pbo.bi.bisign, modules.pbo.bi2.bisign.

Nice work, the port for Arma 3 could do with a few tweaks to smooth its jagged edges and replace its low-rez textures on the terrain editor. The main map needs to be fixed when zooming out, but all in all it's a nice port. Now all we need are a few variable snowy weather effects from BI

i portet this map to epoch and played it.. the map has no ground vegetation, so fps is always high, but it doesnt look good.
and there much to less towns/villages and buildings on map..looks like it was made quick and fast.makes no fun playing it.
to much empty vast space on mp.
