7.5cm Pak40 anti-tank gun by Stanislaw Z.C. (SZC) v1.0
======================================================

I very much appreciated when Cpt Moore activated the static artillery piece (delo) but I didn't much like the standard rusty textures. I therefore decided to retexture the model and since I'm into WW2 stuff I made a German anti-tank gun or Panzerabwehrkanone (Pak) out of it. By default this gun is used by the Resistance side but there's nothing to stop you placing an 'empty' version in your WW2 missions and having it manned by Wehrmacht troops if you have them.

The gun simulated is the 7.5cm Pak40 model which was well capable of tackling any Allied tank and was encountered on all fronts. It fired a wide range of ammunition, varying from straight forward solid armour-piercing (AP) to tungsten-cored (AP40) shot, and also proved useful as a field artillery piece when firing high explosive (HE) shells.

I've equipped the gun with 20 AP rounds (1 hit for light armour, 2-3 hits for heavy), 20 HE shells (only really good against infantry or soft targets), and 3 AP40 rounds (normally 1 hit for heavy armour, also you only get three since they were much more difficult/expensive to produce).

There's also a 'Pak40 crewman' to man it.

(Note that the actual Pak40 looks a little different to the 'delo' model but it's a good enough approximation IMHO!).

Specification...

Calibre: 75mm
Length: 3.7m
Weight: 1425kg
Traverse: 45'
Elevation: -5' to +22'
Muzzle velocity: AP 750 m/s, AP40 930 m/s, HE 550 m/s
Armour penetration: 98mm at 2000m rising to 154mm at 500m (AP40 shot)

Installation... Place the 'Pak4.pbo' file in your OFP Addons folder (Resistance and/or standard OFP, works with both). Then simply select under UNIT/RESITANCE/ARMOURED section.

Tips... I usually place 2 or 3 Pak40s among trees and bushes for camoflage (careful you don't place them directly behind as the gunners will not be able to see and won't fire) and then GROUP them all to a single Officer placed in a position with a wide FOV who acts as a spotter/commander. Also don't forget to have regular infantry providing cover as enemy soldiers will make short work of unprotected anti-tank postions!

Model - "Delo" created by BI Studios and actived by Cpt Moore.
Texturing - myself.
Sounds - manual traverse (oldmetal) and reload sounds taken from VIKs early anti-tank weaponery mod.

Enjoy! S.Z.C.
